A great name evokes curiosity, telling a simple truth about who you are as a company - and getting there is a journey. I research linguistic roots, pour through obscure reference materials, and winnow through pages and pages of free association in order to sift out a few gems. Then, I do it all over again. While the process of finding your exact right moniker does take time, once we get there we’ll know it: it’ll sing.
Your brand isn’t just your look or logo - it’s who you are as a company, expressed at every single touchpoint. To begin to give shape to that identity, first I zoom out, engaging in a comprehensive discovery process; I interview stakeholders, analyze the competition, and audit your existing product and brand communications. Then, when pulling it all together, I take one long breath and dive deep, hunting for pearls. It’s those unexpected little insights that will allow for true differentiation.

It’s simple: Language is the means by which ideas are brought to life - and with 15+ years of professional writing experience, plus a masters degree in creative writing, it also happens to be a central part of my toolkit.
